What year was Zitropack incorporated?
Zitropack was incorporated in October of 1992. You can view the About Us page on this web site for our company history.
What is the difference between Zitropack and other competitors?
Quality and service. All of our machines are wash down rated and as one customer said "built like a German tank". We also offer 24 hour / 7 days a week customer service.
What types of machinery are you capable of manufacturing?
We design and manufacturer inline, rotary and complete turn key systems. You can view a few examples on our Product Gallery page.
Do you supply other types of machinery not pictured in the Product Gallery?
The Product Gallery has only a few examples of machines that we have designed and manufactured. We have video disks of other machines that are not pictured. We would be glad to send them to you when you contact us.
Do you overhaul or retrofit used machinery?
We do overhaul our own but cannot overhaul competitor’s machinery. Although, we cannot retrofit the whole machine we can mount specific machine stations on competitors existing equipment. For example: Container dispensers, heat seal stations, over cap stations.
Do you lease machinery?
We do not lease machinery at this time but we have worked with customers who lease the machine through container manufacturers.
What type of service can Zitropack provide after I purchase a machine?
We invest in field service personnel that are involved with assembling the machinery at our facility and installing them at the user end facility.
I can't afford to wait for a field service technician to arrive, how can you service my machine the quickest?
We offer an Ethernet connection that plugs into the PLC and allows us to remotely connect to the machine from our facility.
What are the risks of the Ethernet option?
If you don't feel comfortable allowing access to the machine via the internet, you can keep the connection unplugged and only plug it to the PLC when needed.
What type of electrical software does Zitropack use on the machinery?
All of our machines use Allen-Bradley based PLC software. This allows the machine to be easily maintained and serviced, because Allen-Bradley is one of the more popular software’s taught at technology schools.
How many different types of container shapes can you design a machine for?
Zitropack is capable of designing machinery for packaging numerous types of container shapes. We run everything from round to square and even oval shaped containers.
Can you package trays?
Yes, we have manufactured numerous tray fillers and sealers over the years. We have machinery packaging everything from cardboard to plastic and even microwavable trays.
How can I automate my product packaging while using my existing filler or scale?
We are capable of designing machinery that will automate the dispensing, heat sealing and over capping while communicating with your existing filler or scale.
Can you run different products on the same filler?
Yes, we have extensive experience in filling different products on the same machine. We design different attachments for different products which are easily mounted to our filler.
What are a few examples of customers who fill different products?
We have designed and manufactured turn key systems for Indianapolis public schools, Fort Wayne public schools, and a Meals on Wheels organization. All of whom change the product that they are filling numerous times a shift.
What do you recommend as the best way to seal my container?
It depends on the container, but the most economical and common way is using our die cut system. We are capable of sealing registered or non-registered film. You can view a sample video by viewing the Products In Action page.
The die cut system sounds fine, but can you seal my container without having waste or a rewind roll?
Yes, we developed a "no waste" film drive. This film drive will seal and cut the film and does not waste material on a rewind rod.
Can you seal my container without using the die cut system?
Yes, we can design a system for sealing a pre-cut film. We use a cam driven picker system that picks the film from a magazine and places it on top of the container. We then index the machine and seal the pre-cut film to the container.
What type of manual is provided with the machine?
Our 100 page plus manual provides you with extensive instructions and 3-dimensional section assembly blueprints. We also provide you with the manufacturer part numbers on all purchased components.
How can I get a question answered that is not listed on this page?
